Los Angeles Regional Collaborative for Climate Action and Sustainability
Legislative and Communication Assistant
2021 - Present

In this remote role, self-initiated research is a requirement. I track Los Angeles-specific environmental policy in the California Legislature, craft informational newsletters to assist dozens of climate change leaders in Southern California, and co-host member and outreach events to increase community awareness of resiliency planning.

From Mentee to Mentorship Director
2020-2022

After completing a round of interviewing, I was delighted to accept a position on the organization's Board as the Mentorship Director. I collaborate with the Board to develop mentorship program criteria, plan organization-wide outreach activities, and design mentor/mentee pairs based on common interest and experiences.

Student Leadership Institute for Climate Resilience (SLICR)

2021

I was fortunate enough to closely collaborate with nearly thirty UCLA students, staff, and alumni at this three-day virtual retreat discussing leadership in environmental and sustainability spaces. I engaged with a broad range of discussion topics from industrial food production to effectively implementing personal leadership skills.

UCLA LGBTQ Advocacy Committee
Ambassador
2022 - Present

My work on the UCLA LGBTQ Advocacy Committee focused on increasing access to gender affirming care for all UCLA students. Specifically, I worked with staff at the UCLA LGBTQ Center, Arthur Ashe Student Health Center, Counseling and Psychological Services, Blood and Platelet Center, and BruinCard Center to provide up-to date information on their websites and increase accessible language.

Trans UCLA Pride (TransUP)
Board Member

2021 - Present

During my time on the TransUP Board, I coordinated the Mentorship Program which paired graduate and undergraduate students with similar academic interests to increase support networks. I also facilitated advocacy-based learning groups and gender-affirming clothings swaps.
